Yes, there are fewer weapons, since they were partially replaced by ammo types, aug weapons and firing modes. There are also a couple of unique weapons in the game, but they are not worth much imho (EMP battle rifle and Otars revolver).There were comments (about HR) that there are too many useless weapons in the game, and that you cannot carry all of them. All of that added up to what we got in MD. I do miss a couple of weapons, though, even if I used them once in a blue moon, like the rocket launcher and laser.

You could get through big fights with the combat rifle alone, but it chews up so much ammo to output that DPS. When I 'accidentally' made the bank people upset, I went in with like 250 bullets, and came out with 0.Killing pretty much all the cops in Golem only consumed like 25 7.62 bullets for comparison. The situation is that there is too few space to keep many weapons in the inventory and even in the stash (also for inventory important the size of the weapon and sniper battle rifles are the issue)so there should be obvious choices which weapons are obsolete to others:lets try to opt out the really useless ones may belike upgraded combat rifle do same role as sniper riflecombat rifle is just medium amounth them may be the bestbut there a lot of things like recoil and fire rate is important alsoso may be mostly all is balanced and just a matter of preference after-all?
